What is a Hybrid Course?

    A hybrid course is a blend of instructional delivery which combines traditional and distance education. A hybrid is a course in which in-class instructional time is reduced and replaced by online instruction and activities, some classes will be held on Central Campus, Blue Bell and some will be held as West Campus, Pottstown.

    Students will meet in-person with the instructor and fellow students on the first day of class. (This is compulsory) The instructor will explain how the “Blackboard” will be used, students may be required to meet synchronously online weekly at a specified time, in a chat-room type format, to conduct discussions as well as answer questions.

    Make sure you understand that you will have a scheduled days and times for your hybrid course. Remember this course is not at your leisure or self-paced course but a regimented, disciplined course. You are required to meet the instructor’s schedule.
