Criminal Justice, Fire Science and Emergency Management

Montgomery County Community College has been designated a Regional Center of Excellence for the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, by the National Partnership for Careers in Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security (www.ncn-npcpss.com/). The National Partnership is comprised of local, state, and federal public safety agencies, secondary and post-secondary education institutions, and an array of professional and educational associations, and is affiliated with the National Crime Prevention Council (www.ncpc.org). The National Partnership serves as the lead organization for the Law, Public Safety, Corrections and Security Career Cluster established by the U.S. Department of Education. This is one of the 16 Career Clusters established by the Department of Education and currently overseen by the National Association of State Directors of Career and Technical Education (www.careertech.org).

Mission

The Regional Center of Excellence for Criminal Justice, Fire Science, and Emergency Management for Pennsylvania and New Jersey serves as a resource center for educational institutions (secondary and post-secondary), businesses and government, primarily serving the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Location

The Center exists as part of the Criminal Justice, Fire Science, and Emergency Management programs, which are part of the Division of Social Sciences at Montgomery County Community College located in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania.
