Programs of Study
The State Board of Education of Pennsylvania has authorized Montgomery County Community College to award the degrees of Associate in Arts (A.A.), Associate in Science (A.S.), Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) and Associate in General Studies (A.G.S.).
- A.A. - Associate in Arts
The Associate in Arts degree program will prepare students for transfer to the junior class of a four-year college, university, or professional school. - A.F.A. - Associate of Fine Art Degree
The Associate of Fine Art Degree provides the foundation studies and studio expertise that parallels the first two years of study in a four-year Bachelor of Fine Art Degree. Students may concentrate their studies in subjects including Animation, Ceramics, Digital Media, Drawing, Graphic Design, Illustration, Painting, Photography, Printmaking or Sculpture. - A.S. - Associate in Science
The Associate in Science degree program will prepare students for transfer to the junior class of a four-year college, university, or professional school. - A.A.S. - Associate Degree in Applied Science
The Associate in Applied Science degree program will prepare students for immediate career opportunities or for transfer credit to colleges on a parallel course evaluation basis. - A.G.S. - Associate in General Studies
The Associate in General Studies degree is designed for students who wish to plan their own curriculum based on their particular needs and college transfer plans. The degree is awarded after students complete 60 semester credits.
