Computer Applications/Office Procedures (Certificate)

Purpose

The Certificate program is designed to prepare the graduate for employment in an entry level clerical position in an office. All of the courses can be applied toward an Associate Degree in Computer Applications/Office Procedures.

Program Objectives

The graduate should be able to:

  • demonstrate the skills necessary to obtain an entry level administrative support position.
  • demonstrate the basic knowledge and skills needed to continue the educational process toward more advanced business training leading to career advancement.
  • demonstrate literacy in economics and business as a basis for making intelligent business, political and personal economic decisions.
  • demonstrate effective communications skills.
  • demonstrate the basic knowledge and skills needed to enter into the second year of an associate degree program in Computer Applications/Office Procedures.
