CERTIFICATE IN INTERNATIONAL STUDIES

Purpose:

The International Studies Certificate is designed to prepare
students to live and work in the global society of the
21st century.

Credits required for the completion of this certificate may also
be applied to associate degree programs at the College.

Program Objectives:

A graduate should be able to:
--demonstrate a knowledge of modern history and of politics
and societies in the world outside the United States
--understand and appreciate global diversity and global
interdependence
--understand cultural differences in the workplace and in the
local and world community
--demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language
