Retailing (Certificate)

Purpose

The Retailing Certificate program is designed to prepare the graduate for employment in an entry level position in retailing. All of the courses can be applied toward an Associate Degree in Marketing.

Program Objectives

The graduate should be able to:

  • demonstrate the skills necessary to obtain an entry level position in retailing.
  • demonstrate the basic knowledge and skills needed to continue the educational process toward more advanced training leading to career advancement.
  • demonstrate literacy in economics and business as a basis for making intelligent business, political and economic decisions.
  • demonstrate the basic knowledge and skills needed to enter into an associate degree program in the second year of marketing.
