Child, Youth and Family (Certificate)

    Purpose

    The Child, Youth and Family Certificate Program is designed to prepare graduates for human services careers working with children and youths in institutional and community programs, public welfare and family service agencies, and a variety of other settings.

    The program concentration focuses on youths who may be neglected or abused, emotionally disturbed, academically challenged, and/or physically involved. This certificate is designed with enough flexibility to meet the needs of beginning students as well as those working within the human services field.

    Program Objectives

    The graduate should be able to demonstrate all of the skills and knowledge needed to obtain entry level employment in an agency or facility serving children and youth.
