Biologocal Sciences (A.S.)

Purpose

The Biological Sciences program is designed to prepare students for transfer to a four year college or university. The curriculum prepares the student for advanced study in a variety fields such as Allied Health, Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics Dentistry and Medicine. In addition, the program prepares students for entry level laboratory positions in the biochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Program Objectives

A graduate should be able to:

  • analyze and interpret scientific data.
  • understand and apply the scientific method.
  • set up, use and understand basic experimental apparatus.
  • use established standards to interpret data.
