Mathematics (A.A.)
Purpose
The Mathematics program is designed to meet the transfer
requirements of four year colleges and universities for the many
disciplines that require a strong mathematics background. These
disciplines include: computer and information science; business
and economics; science and engineering; statistics, actuarial
science and operations research; mathematics and education;
medicine and law.
Program Objectives
The graduate should be able to:
- transfer to a four year degree-granting institution.
- major in the disciplines that require a strong mathematics
background.
- demonstrate competency in understanding the concepts and
applications of mathematics by succesfully completing the
require mathematics courses.
