SOCIAL SCIENCE (A.A.)
Purpose:The Social Science program is designed to provide a liberal arts
option for students who are interested in pursuing a degree in
history, political science, economics, psychology,
anthropology and/or sociology at a four year college or
university. Graduates frequently enter business, government
service, law social work, and/or teaching.
Program Objectives:
A graduate should be able to:
--understand and apply major social concepts.
--demonstrate an understanding of how societies develop and
change.
--understand social institutions, customs, traditions and
history.
--understand and explain the human condition as it has evolved
through time.
--develop an understanding of the relationship between all areas
of social science to better understand each area separately.First Semester
