HUMAN SERVICES (A.A.S.)

Purpose:

The Human Services program is designed to prepare graduates for
careers as human service workers in mental health agencies,
mental retardation programs, drug and alcohol programs, public
and private schools for the handicapped, programs for the aging,
and other programs that serve human needs.

Program Objectives:

A graduate should be able to:
--demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to work in direct
service delivery agencies and programs in human services.
--demonstrate a clear undersanding of normal and abnormal
human behavior for all age groups.
--demonstrate appropriate care for a broad spectrum of human
problems.
--demonstrate the psychological and sociological knowledge and
skills needed to deal with contemporary human problems.
