What kind of computer hardware/software do I need to take an online course?
Our online courses are delivered via the World Wide Web, using Blackboard, an online course management system. In order to access this online course, there are a few minimum technology requirements that you will need to meet in order to participate fully.
Browsers supported by Blackboard
Many courses also require that you have access to a word processing package, such as MS Word or another product compatible with it; a spreadsheet, such as MS Excel; and/or a database, such as MS Access.
Note: Other courses may have additional requirements, such as computer courses, which may require that you have access to specialized software, such as programming languages or mathematics courses, which may require calculators or access to a fax machine. Please check your instructors web page or the bookstore for more information.
