Why should I use the resources in the LAL?
The LAL helps students achieve academic success by providing tutoring in course content and study skills, math and writing workshops, study skills workshops, and computing resources.
Who can get help in the LAL?
Any student currently enrolled in courses at the College.
Who is available to help students in the LAL?
A tutoring staff which includes Peer Tutors (current students), Paraprofessional Tutors (people with an Associates or Bachelors Degree), and Professional Tutors (most from our full-time or adjunct faculty) are available to help students in the LAL.
How can I get tutoring help?
All services are free to students and are provided on a drop-in basis. No appointments are necessary.
Is online tutoring available?
Online tutoring is available for any Montgomery County Community College student. Online tutoring help.

Tutoring: Subject area tutoring is available for most courses the College offers. |

Computer Labs: Tutors can assist students with computer coursework in the computer labs located in the library. |
Developmental Studies Lab: Students can take the following courses in the DSL using the latest in multimedia-based computer hardware and software: ENG 010 and ENG 011; MAT 010 and MAT 011. |

Can I use the Academic Computing Lab at Blue Bell Campus for personal chatting and email?
Students may use the computers in the Blue Bell LAL for course-related work only.
What is the Developmental Studies Lab?
The Developmental Studies Lab (DSL) offers students a mastery-learning approach to complete MAT 010 and 011; and English 010 and 011 courses using the latest in multimedia-based computer hardware and software. Since the instruction is computer generated, students can move more quickly through areas they understand or spend more time on those areas they find difficult. In addition, the DSL has an excellent staff of math and English tutors to help students whenever the students need assistance.
