Art Gallery and Studios

The arts have come alive at Montgomery County Community College’s West Campus in Pottstown. With the recent expansion to 16 High Street, the College has added two new art studios and an art gallery, making it a premiere arts center and cultural resource for the community. The beautifully renovated, historic building—with exposed brick and beams, vaulted ceilings, oversized windows, hardwood floors and majestic archways—is an ideal setting in which for cultivating fine arts. At the hub of the building is a remarkable new Gallery, which, over the next year, will showcase local, regional and national artists. |

Demand for fine arts classes over the past five years in Pottstown has grown by 20 percent. Fine arts offerings in the new spacious studios and classrooms include painting, drawing, two- and three-dimensional design, computer graphics and art history. Fine Arts is also one of the fastest growing degree programs at the College, and a variety of non-credit, continuing education art classes are also available.
“Montgomery County Community College is committed to enriching the cultural vitality of the community and nurturing a lasting relationship between the community and the arts,” said Dr. Karen A. Stout, President. “Our goal is to provide a cultural center, recognized and supported by the campus and the neighboring communities, in which people can participate, enjoy and interact with the arts.”
