Verizon Foundation Center

A highlight of Montgomery County Community College’s newly-renovated building in Pottstown is the Verizon Foundation Center for Excellence in Workforce Education and Training. The Center was made possible by a $50,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation to further the College’s ability to use technology to promote workforce development. This unique, state-of-the-art space is entirely devoted to business.
Area companies count on the College for the business training they need. Through the Center, the College provides education and skill training specified by area employers for actual job openings and provides training to upgrade the skills of those already employed. The facility is also ideal for off-site programs.
In addition to courses dealing with entrepreneurial issues, process improvement and supervisory training, the College also offers programs in team building, public relations for non-profits, marketing, business writing, customer service and bookkeeping, to name a few. The College also offers specialized courses for real estate agents, brokers and appraisers and landlords and tenants.
