Art, film, science, wellness and fun highlighted the Montgomery County Community College West Campus contribution to the Pottstown ArtsWalk and "We’re Still Here" Pottstown Festival on May 6 as part of a celebration that stretched from the College along High Street in the borough.
Festival goers visiting the West Campus enjoyed the student art exhibit, a hydroponics demonstration, free health screenings, a pottery wheel demonstration, and the debut reading of an original screenplay, (The) Afterglow (Effect), written by MCCC student Joe Donley.
A free screening of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in North Hall capped the day’s events, with prizes awarded to members of the audience with the best Star Wars themed costumes.
The West Campus is celebrating 20 years of service to western Montgomery County and beyond. Since it opened in 1996, the West Campus has grown to be one of the primary anchor institutions in the region. In addition to offering affordable educational programs for residents, the West Campus has been a key economic, environmental and cultural leader in the region.
