The Choral Society of Montgomery County will present its annual Holiday Concert in partnership with the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra on Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. in the Science Center Theater at Montgomery County Community College, 340 DeKalb Pike in Blue Bell. The concert will feature Mozart's lively "Vesperae Solennes de Dominica" and Charles Gounod's lush "Messe Solennelle de Sainte Cecile," as well as holiday favorites.
The Choral Society of Montgomery County was founded in 1982 and strives to fulfill its mission of providing artistic excellence and musical diversity through concert performance and choral music education. The adult ensemble enriches the cultural palate of Montgomery County and the Delaware Valley with the support of Montgomery County Community College. In its 27th season, the ensemble has not only been recognized for its artistic achievement locally, but also internationally, through its tours of the former Soviet Union, Australia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Wales.
