Montgomery County Community College (MCCC) will be the site for several summer athletics camps for children ages 6-12 this summer at its Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. The programs focus on setting and achieving goals, exploration and fun in a relaxed and supportive environment. This year’s athletics camps include Mustangs Basketball Camp, Mustangs Baseball Camp, Mustangs Softball Camp and Mustangs Soccer Camp.

The Mustangs Basketball Camp, which is open to both girls and boys between the ages of 7 and 12, will take place during the week of June 25 to June 29. Each day will focus on a core element of the game and consist of personal instruction, drills, games and contests. The camp day will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. The fee for the week is $120 per camper, which includes a personal evaluation certificate and camp shirt. The completed registration form and payment is due by June 11.
With a goal of improving the physical and mental skills of young baseball players between the ages of 8 and 12, the Mustangs Baseball Camp will take place during the week of July 2 to July 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be no camp held on July 4. All areas of the game will be covered, which include throwing, fielding, bunting, base stealing and strategy. The fee for the week is $100 per camper and includes a camp shirt. The completed registration form and payment is due by June 24.
The Mustangs Softball Camp will work to improve the overall play of girls ages 8 to12 during the week of July 23 to July 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The days will focus on sliding, bunting, throwing, base stealing, hitting, fielding and conditioning. Further instruction on all fielding positions will be provided, as well as pitching and catching. The fee for the week is $100 per camper and includes a camp shirt. The completed registration form and payment is due by July 3.
The Mustangs Soccer Camp will be exercising its stress-free training philosophy during the week of August 6 to August 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The camp will focus on achievement and mastery of lessons, while teaching campers ages 6 to12 how to set and achieve their goals. The fee for the week is $125 per camper and includes a camp shirt. The completed registration form and payment is due by July 27.
