Dr. Victoria Bastecki-Perez Named Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost

Montgomery County Community College is pleased to announce that Dr. Victoria L. Bastecki-Perez, of Perkiomenville, has assumed the role of Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost. She served in the capacity of interim vice president since July 2010.

Previously, Bastecki-Perez held of the positions of Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dean of Health and Physical Education, and Director and Professor of Dental Hygiene at the College. She was also an award-winning faculty member and Senior Clinical Supervisor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.

As Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost, Bastecki-Perez provides oversight and strategic direction to the College’s five academic divisions, workforce development and continuing education and e-Learning, and academic support services, among other areas of responsibility.

Since joining the College 15 years ago, Bastecki-Perez has been instrumental in advancing its strategic plan, particularly in the areas of curricula and course development, the establishment of educational and corporate partnerships, collaborative community outreach initiatives and the execution of innovative to meet the diverse needs of underserved populations.

Bastecki-Perez holds a Doctor of Education degree and a master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of Pittsburgh School of Education and a bachelor’s degree in Science from Edinboro University, where she was named a distinguished alumna in 2000. She also attended Exeter College, Oxford University for graduate studies. Her Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting certifications were obtained from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where she recognized as a distinguished alumna in 2010.
