The Montgomery County Community College Mustangs lost to the Northampton Community College Spartans 2-0 on Wednesday.
Despite a 2-1 win over the Spartans in their first match up of the season on Sept. 22, the Mustangs were unable to repeat the performance in Wednesday’s game. The Spartans came on strong and maintained control of the ball outmanuvering and outshooting the Mustangs. The Mustangs had a number of scoring chances but were unable to get on the board. Daniel Pereira (Northampton Area) of the Spartans scored both goals for the opposition.
This loss brings the Mustangs’ record to 9-4. The team will travel to Reading Area Community College for their second to last game of the season on Saturday Oct. 17. Game time is 1 p.m.
