Montgomery County Community College is pleased to announce that Peggy Lee-Clark, of Salford, has been appointed to the Tri-County Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She currently holds the position of Assistant to the President at the College, and she previously served as a full-time Hospitality Management instructor. As an alumna of the College, she was inducted into its prestigious Alumni Hall of Fame in 2007 for her many contributions to the College and community.
Prior to working in higher education, Lee-Clark had a successful 20-year career in the hospitality industry, working with such highly-regarded establishments as the William Penn Inn, the King of Prussia Holiday Inn, and the Eagle Lounge in Lafayette Hill. She was also a member of the Greater Valley Forge Hotel Association.
Among her many professional achievements, Lee-Clark was recognized in 2005 by Governor Ed Rendell for the prevention of alcohol related incidents in Pennsylvania, and she received an award for teaching excellence in 1996. She has served on numerous committees at the College, including the President’s Leadership Council, the Commencement Committee, and the Hospitality Advisory Committee. She also recently completed a three-year term as the Chair of the All-College Curriculum Committee, and she has served as the Executive Vice President of the Faculty Union and a Faculty Co-Advisor to Phi Beta Lambda.
Lee-Clark holds as associate’s degree in Hospitality Management from the College, a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Eastern University, and a master’s certificate in Strategic Leadership for Women and a master’s degree in Strategic Management from Rosemont College.
