Montgomery County Community College will join organizations across the United States in celebration of Constitution Day on Sept. 17, which is the date of the original signing of the U.S. Constitution in 1787.
Dr. Aaron Shatzman, Dean of Social Sciences at the College, will present a program, titled ÒWhat Was Revolutionary About the American Revolution and Constitution?Ó from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in South Hall room 216 at the West Campus, 101 College Drive, Pottstown. The presentation will be simulcast to Science Center room 214 at the College’s Central Campus, 340 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell. Admission is free and is open to the public. Prior to the presentation, students from the Political Science and History Clubs at the Central Campus will sponsor a Constitution birthday celebration with birthday cake in the College Hall main lobby from 10:30 a.m.-noon. Two days later, the College’s Office of Student Leadership and Involvement is sponsoring a bus trip for students to the historical District of Philadelphia.
