The Music Program at Montgomery County Community College offers students a broad variety of opportunities to explore music of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. All classes are open to all students, regardless of their major. Students can study composition, music technology, and performance, or they can simply explore a wide array of music as a listener.

Performers have many options at the College. Singers are encouraged to join one of our choral ensembles. Instrumentalists have several groups to choose from. The Chamber Strings is open to all players of violin, viola, cello, and string bass. The Jazz Ensembles are open to wind, keyboard, guitar, percussion, and bass players. The Wind Ensemble is open to brass, woodwind, and percussionists. Guitar and piano classes are available at every level, from beginner to advanced.

For composers or producers who wish to bring their craft to the next level, we have music theory and digital music classes that are taught in state-of-the art music labs, with access to professional studios.

With all of our music coursework being transferrable, students at the College are able to prepare for entry into a four-year music program. Students completing our AA program have gone on to complete their music degrees at West Chester, Temple, University of the Arts, Mansfield University, and many other fine music schools. Faculty are also available for private lessons to help prepare audition materials.
