Health and Medical Studies

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Labor, "Health services managers can expect about 145 openings due to growth and about 229 replacement openings for approximately 374 total annual openings." Medical assistants perform administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, and other health practitioners running smoothly. Medical office assistants perform administrative duties in ambulatory settings such as physicians' offices, clinics, hospitals and group practices. Certified professional coders work within a variety of healthcare settings to review and assign correct coding of services, procedures and diagnoses for medical claims.
