Mathematics

Mathematics is the foundation of many academic and career disciplines. Engineers, computer scientists, physicists, and economists are among those who use mathematics extensively. Some professionals, including statisticians, actuaries, and operations research analysts, specialize in a particular branch of mathematics.

Mathematicians typically require advanced degrees to pursue careers in this field. Employment in this field is expected to grow at an average rate.

Credit

AA degree in Mathematics will allow you to transfer to a four-year college or university to earn a bachelor’s degree in this field.
