Study of the fundamentals of the Chinese language. Pronunciation and grammatical rules are taught in class and reinforced with the use of tapes and videos. The emphasis is placed on actual verbal communication. Open to students who have no previous knowledge of Chinese.
A continuation of the study of Chinese language fundamentals. More advanced grammatical rules are taught in class and reinforced through the use of tapes and videos; fluency is promulgated through an emphasis on dialogue in Chinese. Emphasis is placed upon verbal/oral communication, as well as awareness of Chinese culture. Open to students who have taken Chinese 101.
