Purpose

The Computer-Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) Technology program prepares the student for positions in electrical, mechanical, civil, architectural or engineering drafting and design. The primary objective of the program is to teach students how to apply basic through advanced techniques and tools in graphically representing engineered products and plans. Great emphasis is placed on developing computer-aided drafting and design skills. Students are prepared for positions as: mechanical, civil and structural, architectural, and product drafts-designers.

Program Objectives

A graduate should be able to:

  • prepare layouts and working drawings according to civil, industrial, and architectural standards.
