Biological Sciences AS

Purpose

The Biological Sciences program is designed to prepare students for transfer to a four year college or university. The curriculum prepares the student for advanced study in a variety fields such as health, biology, biochemistry, biophysics, dentistry and medicine. In addition, the program prepares students for entry level laboratory positions in the biochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

Program Objectives

A graduate should be able to:

  • analyze and interpret scientific data.
  • understand and apply the scientific method.
  • set up, use and understand basic experimental apparatus.
  • use established standards to interpret data.
