Submit your FAFSA early!

You now have the ability to file a 2018-2019 FAFSA as early as October 1, 2017, rather than waiting until January.

The 2018-2019 FAFSA will use tax information from 2016, so you can expect the following benefits:

  • Because the FAFSA will ask for older income and tax information, your taxes will be complete, meaning you won’t need to estimate tax information that will need to be updated.

  • Because your taxes will already be filed, you may have the option to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (IRS DRT) to automatically import your tax information into your FAFSA.

  • Early application allows for more time to understand your Financial Aid options.

  • No need to wait - fill out your FAFSA today.
