Placement Testing for MCCC Students

If you are a new student, you must determine if you have college-readiness. You can do this in several ways:

  • Placement tests measure entry-level skills in reading comprehension, writing ability, mathematical ability, and, for some students, anatomy and physiology (biology) knowledge.
  • Submit SAT/ACT or other score reports, AP test scores, another college's transcripts to determine if you are exempt from taking the College's placement test.
  • It is recommended students prepare before they take the placement test. Please go to Placement Test Preparation Materials.
  • Based on test results, students are placed into coursework which will allow them the best chance of success

Placement testing is available on a walk-in basis. No appointment is necessary.
