Transfer Students
To be considered for admission to Montgomery County Community College as a transfer student, the applicant must:
All official transcripts must be sent directly from the institution(s) to the Office of Admissions & Records. Please note that once a transcript has been opened, it is no longer considered official.
Preliminary evaluations of previous course work completed can be done in order to assist students in course planning for the upcoming semester. Students may either call 215-641-6671(Central Campus) or 610-718-1851 (West Campus) for an evaluation, or students may fax a copy to 215-619-7188 (Central Campus) or to 610-718-1837 (West Campus). Please note that faxed transcripts, both high school and college, are not official and can only be used for evaluation assessment, not the official transfer of credits.
Only previous work which conforms with curriculum requirements at Montgomery County Community College will be considered for transfer. In addition, credits earned must be from institutions accredited by the Regional Accrediting Associations of Colleges and Secondary Schools (Recognized Candidates or Accredited).
A maximum of 30 credit hours may be accepted from other institutions toward a degree at Montgomery County Community College. Only courses with a "C" or better will be considered.
In order to receive an Associate Degree from Montgomery County Community College a minimum of 30 credits must be earned from courses taken at MCCC.
