Applying

We are excited you have decided to apply to Montgomery County Community College. Endless possibilities await you here. We are an open enrollment institution. Our main mission is to provide educational opportunities and to support your future success. 

Eligibility for Admission

Admission to Montgomery County Community College is open to:

  1. All high school graduates and any person with a high school certificate or equivalency diploma (GED). Applicants who have been out of high school less than 5 years must submit an Official High School transcript.
  2. Any person who has reached the age of 15 and is currently enrolled in high school may choose to be a part of our Dual Enrollment/Early Admissions program.
  3. Any person who has been out of high school for 5 years or more, no high school transcript is necessary unless applying for one of the Special Admission programs.
  4. International Students who are coming on a F-1 nonimmigrant visa from overseas or transferring from another institution. An international student may apply online by selecting the international student (F-1) as the application type. Please visit the international student page to complete the additional requirements for the Certificate of Eligibility I20 to be issued.
  5. Transfer students from other institutions who would like to complete a degree with us.
  6. Any person who wishes to take a single course or a short series of courses without intending to complete a two-year degree. These students must also complete an online application and meet all prerequisites for the course(s) they wish to take either through testing or proof of previous college work.

Academic Renewal Program

If you are still unsure and would like more information, come for a visit. You may speak with an admissions representative, advisor, take a campus tour, attend a class, meet a professor or coach and learn about all the ways you can get involved as a student. If you need to complete a paper application please complete the Admissions Application and submit it to the Admissions Office at Central or West Campus.
