GETTING STARTED
If you want to jump-start your life through higher education, there’s no better time than now to take that first step! Connect with us today by requesting more information or scheduling a visit to one of our campuses.
Once you’re ready to make your move, take a look at our admissions checklist and then apply online – it’s that simple!
Step 1 Meet with an Advisor.
As an adult returning to school we would like to make it simple for you to get a degree. If you have never attended college, have attended college and never finished, worked in a professional field most of your career earning specialty certifications, we have developed a number of pathways to help you attain your degree. We have trained advisors in our Student Success Center you can meet with to help develop and guide your educational planning. To schedule an appointment, call the Student Success Center at your chosen campus.

If you have completed an associate’s degree or higher and would like to take courses for personal enrichment, you can follow our Guest Student application/registration process.
Step 2 Apply Online.
Once you have met with an advisor and know what you would like to do, save yourself money by completing our free online application, or submit a mail-in application ($25 fee). You can also apply before you meet with an advisor so we have your information ahead of time. If you have completed an associate’s degree or higher and would like to take courses for personal enrichment, remember you can follow our Guest Student application/registration process.
Step 3 Send your Transcript.
As part of the admissions process, you must submit a transcript from your most recent secondary educational experience. If you graduated from high school within the past 5 years, please send an official high school transcript. Your transcript will be reviewed for exemptions from the placement test. If you took the GED test, please forward your GED diploma. Anyone applying for financial aid must have a high school transcript/GED diploma on file.
If you are transferring from another institution and would like to transfer credit in, please send an official transcript for review. You may bring an unofficial transcript to be reviewed for exemptions from the placement test to your appointment with the Student Success Center.
Step 4 Assess your Skills.
There are many ways you can determine your college readiness and identify courses that are right for you. You may submit score reports (PSAT, SAT, PSSA, AP, etc.) or college transcripts for evaluation. If you do not have these items or your scores or grades are not high enough, you are required to take the College’s placement tests. The College offers you many ways to prepare for these tests and highly encourages you to do this. You can prepare both on and off campus and we will provide you with assistance to do so. To find out more about course placement, please see Testing and Placement.
Step 5 Finance your Education.
Figuring out how to pay for college can be overwhelming, but don’t worry—we’re here to help! Our Financial Aid Office can tell you about available grants, scholarships, student loans and part-time employment options. The most important thing to do first is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form at www.fafsa.ed.gov (using our federal school code, 004452). To request financial aid forms, call the Financial Aid Office for your chosen campus.
