
Montgomery County Community College offers both a GED Preparation Program as well as administration of the GED Test. There is no charge for attending the classes.

You must be 18 years of age to take the GED. Special allowances are made for students who are 16-17 years of age with additional documentation.

All candidates must register to take the GED exam. GED registration is held in Room 249, South Hall from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on the following dates.
September 8, September 9 and September 10
October 6, October 7 and October 8
November 3, November 4, and November 5
December 2, December 3, and December 4
At the time of registration, please bring a government-issued ID (PA Driver's license or PA Non-Driver’s ID), your social security number, and a $90 non-refundable fee (credit card, cash, check or money order payable to Montgomery County Community College).
NOTE: The GED Test fee is non-refundable. Due to limited space, no changes or cancellations will be considered after you are registered. Petitions to this policy must be submitted in writing to the Director of Testing and Assessment, Testing Center, 129 College Hall, 340 DeKalb Pike Blue Bell, Pa 19422. No changes or cancellations are allowed within 72 hours under any circumstance.

The battery of 5 GED tests are conducted over consecutive Saturdays in Room 159, in South Hall. All start times are strictly enforced. If you arrive late you may not be admitted to test.
