Unfortunately, we are unable to award financial aid to international students who are F-1 visa holders. Because we are unable to offer you financial aid, your admission to our college is contingent upon your documentation that verifies your ability to meet all educational and related expenses while in the U.S. There are some financial institutions that grant loans to international students. However, they must have a co-borrower who is a US citizen.

Montgomery County Community College admits international students two times a year, in the fall, and the spring semesters. Please take into consideration the US embassy's visa application processing times in your country when applying for your F-1 visa. Additional time is needed to process applications for students requiring an I-20. The Admissions Office must receive your application materials by the following deadlines:

    • July 1, for the fall semester which begins in September.
    • November 1, for the spring semester which begins in January.

Please note that these same deadlines apply to international students wishing to readmit to the College. Transfer students from within the United States may transfer in to MCCC up until the first day of classes. Applications will be reviewed only if it is complete. It takes two -four weeks for an application to be processed and an I20 issued.

Is health insurance required?

All students entering MCCC on a student visa will be enrolled in the school's international student health insurance policy administered by HTH Worldwide. A student may elect their own insurance and be waived from the school's insurance policy by completing the Health Insurance Waiver form. If a student wants to be waived, the insurance they choose must be the equivalent or comparable to the school's policy or it will not be waived. The deadline for the waiver is the 15th of the month following the first day of classes each semester.
