Types of Financial Aid

Financial Aid assists students and their families in meeting educational expenses that cannot be funded through thier own resources. Listed below are the types of financial aid offered by Montgomery County Community College.

Federal Grants—Financial aid that does not have to be repaid.
PHEAA State Grants—Financial aid that does not have to be repaid.
Scholarships—Financial aid that does not have to be repaid.
Federal Work Study—Part-time employment to earn money for education.
Loans—Borrowed money that must be repaid with interest.

Deadlines

May 1—PHEAA State Grant

May 1—FAFSA Completion for MCCC Foundation Scholarships

June 30—Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for prior academic year
