PHEAA Changes

Impact on Community College Students

The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) has extended the application filing deadline for community college students to apply for state grants. The extension enables first-time (non-renewal) applicants to apply for state aid through August 1.

PHEAA has also increased the maximum state grant award amount for the College’s cost tier by $263 to $2,313. The agency is in the process of recalculating the eligibility of students who have already been notified of their initial state grant award amounts. Final award amounts will be available on July 11, 2011.

PHEAA will email students with instructions on how to access their accounts online through Account Access.

For more information, visit www.pheaa.org or contact the College’s Financial Aid office at 215-641-6566 (Central Campus), 610-718-1906 (West Campus) or email financialaid@mc3.edu.
