Residency Requirements

In-County Residency: To be considered a resident of Montgomery County and receive in-county tuition, you must reside in the County for six continuous months or have taken positive action to establish residency within the County.

Proof of residency is required. Documents that can be used to show residency include

  • Lease papers or documents of sale for permanent independent residence
  • Driver’s license with change of address
  • Voter Registration Card for Montgomery County
  • Copy of bank statement, stock account, or automobile owner’s card with new address
  • Insurance documentation with new address

Ownership of property or a business in the county does not qualify a person to attend the College as a resident.

Change of Address

In Person, by Mail, or by Fax Service

If your address has changed, please complete the Change of Address Form and submit it to the Office of Student Records and Registration at the Central Campus or the Office of Admissions, Registration and Payment at the West Campus. In order for your address to be updated, you must provide proof of residency.

Note: If you are moving into Montgomery County we need one proof of residency.
If you live outside of Montgomery County or you are moving out of the County we need one proof of residency.
