Mauro Dal Balcon

Hometown: Vicenza, Italy

Major: Business Administration

Biography: I graduated from a Catholic High School in Johannesburg, South Africa, and shortly after that I moved to Italy with my family. I lived in Italy for almost 8 years. I went to school there for 2 years and got a diploma in CNC programming, then I had to serve a year in the army – this was mandatory service, but I really enjoyed it. When my commitment with the Army was over I went to work as a CNC Programmer for a few years. My next job was with the US Government where I worked as an interpreter. Finally, I decided to go back to school. And that is how I landed up coming to the U.S.

Why did you choose the College? I came to the College because I knew that I was going to live in the area and friends had told me that it was a good school. I had many doubts about attending college in the States but the staff  was helpful and made it very easy for me, they told me exactly what I needed to do and how to do it. Before I knew it was registered and ready for class. I guess what I am saying is that I chose MCCC because they were the most responsive to my needs than all the other colleges I expressed interest in.

What do you like best about the College? I can honestly say that I have liked everything. My Professors have all being great, and anytime I have had a question or a problem they have all being quick to respond or offer a helping hand. The course availability is great. The campus is not too big that you are overwhelmed by its size and always feel lost. If I had to choose again I would still choose to come here.
