Looking for a place to build on your existing academic career? Want to take a course that transfers toward your degree at another institution? Montgomery County Community College is your destination to continue your education. Up to 30 credit hours may be accepted from other institutions toward a degree here. We offer a rich campus life, numerous financial aid and scholarship packages, and the opportunity to be part of an exciting educational experience.
Transfer students must complete an admissions application and forward an official transcript of all previous college work. Please note that once a transcript has been opened, it is no longer considered official. Faxed transcripts, both high school and college, are not official and can only be used for evaluation assessment, not the official transfer of credits. Applying and transferring credits are your first two steps toward enrollment. If you have questions about transferring your financial aid information, our Office of Financial Aid can help you through the process.
If you’re a visiting student enrolled at another colleges or university, you’re welcome to take courses at Montgomery County Community College. You must complete an admissions application as your first step. Students are encouraged to check with their home institution about the transferability of each course that they pursue. You generally do not need to submit transcripts unless you are enrolling in courses which require proof of satisfactory completion of prerequisite course work. Unofficial transcripts may be provided at the time of registration to provide proof of prerequisites. Official transcripts should be sent to the Office of Records and Registration to begin the evaluation process for attendance at either campus:
