The Courage to Create
Like Montgomery County itself, Montgomery County Community College is experiencing tremendous growth in the number of people we serve. One of our largest and fastest growing program areas is the arts – both in terms of students registering for degree programs and of community members wanting to attend programs and classes. To address this growth and projected future demand, Montgomery County Community College must expand the facilities and other resources devoted to the arts. We will need financial support from the community to do so successfully. In its first phase, Montgomery County Community College Foundation’s Courage to Create Campaign aims to raise $3 million to complete the preservation, renovation and expansion of the Art Barn, which today serves 3,500 students and community members yearly. These improvements, the first since the 1970s, will position the College to meet the needs of our constituents for the next decade and beyond.
