Health and Wellness

The College recognizes the impact of one’s health and well-being on the ability to be successful in the classroom. The primary focus is on proactive and preventive health related lifestyle behaviors. The Director of Health and Wellness Initiatives provides college-wide leadership in the development, coordination and promotion of health and wellness programs for students and employees. Free informational materials are also available at both campus locations on a variety of health and wellness topics. No appointments are necessary. The Director of Health and Wellness Initiatives is generally at the Pottstown Campus one to two days a week. Monthly calendar is posted on office door.

Health insurance is strongly advised for all students. The College does not offer a college sponsored student health insurance plan for domestic students. Information on some low- to moderate-cost individual health insurance options is available from the Director of Health and Wellness Initiatives. These plans are not sponsored by the College and are for informational purposes only.

The College has established Clean Air Zones throughout all campus locations to support a healthy learning and working environment. Monetary fine is imposed for violation of the Clean Air Policy. Students are able to obtain information and resources to assist them with reducing their addiction to cigarettes and/or other tobacco products. The campuses are also drug and alcohol free environments.

The Director of Health and Wellness Initiatives is also a member of the College’s Student Support Referral Team (SSRT). More information about SSRT is available on the portal.
