Veterans

Welcome to Montgomery County Community College—veterans, national guard/reservists, and dependents/survivors are eligible for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits.

Application for VA education benefits may be completed online at www.gibill.va.gov. Veterans must provide a copy of their DD-214, Military Discharge, and National Guard/Reservists must provide DD Form 2384-1, Notice of Basic Eligibility, at the time of application.

Students receiving VA education benefits must provide the Veterans Affairs Office with a list of registered courses each semester for continuation of monthly payments. Veterans and National Guard/Reservists must verify their enrollment on the last day of each month through the VA Web Automated Verification of Enrollment (WAVE) website www.gibill.va.gov.

All students in receipt of VA education benefits are advised to visit the Financial Aid office to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Veterans and National Guard/Reservists who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom or Operation Enduring Freedom may apply for a scholarship sponsored by the Collegiate Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development. For information, contact Ms. Tracey Richards, Assistant Director for Financial Aid, at 215-641-6566 or via email trichards@mc3.edu.
