ART 145 Introductory Woodworking

Credits: 3.00

An introduction to the design and construction of small and medium scale works in wood. Exploring the skills and basic techniques and processes involved woodworking. Techniques including hand tool use and basic machining techniques and structural issues will be addressed in the studio. Students will be given instruction through demonstration in the safe and efficient machine use with initial emphasis on table saw, radial arm saw, joiner, and planer. This course is subject to a course fee.
