AUT 180 Computerized Engine Controls

Credits: 3.00

This course focuses on the application of the microprocessor in modern automotive systems. It will include an overview of the electrical and electronic components and circuits used in controlling engine operation and in emission controls. On-board diagnostic systems currently used and future design considerations will be discussed. Each system of the multifunction computer will be covered with enough specific information to provide the student with a thorough and complete understanding of how the complex automotive control system works.
