ENG 236 Fiction

This course aims to cultivate an appreciation of the commentaries and influences on contemporary civilization by European and American writers of fiction. The short story and/or the novel will be studied in terms of structure, plot, setting, character development, point of view, tone and style which, in concert, will provide a deeper understanding of the author's vision. This course meets General Education Core Goal 7: Aesthetic Sensibility and the Arts.
