HOS 115 Principles of Customer Service and Bar M anagement

This course is designed to give the student an introduction to the basic management controls for a full-service dining room offering food and beverages including those in hotels and other segments of the industry. Included are food and beverage service techniques, dining room personnel control procedures, guest payment procedures, and extensive coverage of alcohol service and bar management. Students will have the opportunity to complete the National Restaurant Association's ManageFirst certificate program in three key areas: Bar and Beverage Management, Customer Service, and ServSafe Alcohol. Students may be required to participate in campus events such as International Night.
