POL 124 American National Government

Credits: 3.00

An examination of the basic structure and functions of American National Government, with emphasis on the power relationships between the Congress, the President, and the Judiciary. Political parties, pressure groups, civil rights, and the federal structure of our government will be stressed. This course meets General Education Core Goal 2: Analytic Skills; Core Goal 9: Behavioral and Social Science; Core Goal 11: Civic Responsibility; and Core Goal 12: Sensitivity to Global Perspective and Cultural and Social Diversity.
