DHG 229 Expanded Function Dental Assisting I

This course is designed to expand student's skills in the area of restorative dentistry through both lecture and on-campus laboratory practice. These skills include the placement of temporary and permanent restorations utilizing a variety of dental materials; rubber dam applications, placement of sealants, finishing and polishing techniques; coronal polishing and fluoride applications; taking impressions for the construction of mouthguards, fluoride trays, bleaching trays and crown and bridge temporary restorations.
