Python Essentials 2 (BIPCT 0178)

Python Essentials 2 has been developed by the OpenEDG Python Institute, and is provided to all audiences to enhance, develop and support professional careers in Python programming and related technologies. The course covers all the basics of programming in Python, as well as general computer programming concepts and techniques. The course familiarizes the student with the object-oriented approach to programming and covers the following topic areas: . modules, packages, and PIP; . character encoding, strings, and string processing; . generators, iterators, closures, files, file streams, and file processing; . exception hierarchies, and exception classes and objects; . working with selected Standard Library modules (os, datetime, time, calendar); . general coding techniques and the fundamentals of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): encapsulation, inheritance, abstraction, and polymorphism. The Python Essentials 2 curriculum helps students prepare for the PCAPT - Certified Associate in Python Programming certification.
